Meet Ashley Westenhaver, our new Director of Shelter Operations!
Ashley spent her time growing up going back and forth between her dad’s house in the tiny town of PeEll, WA and her mom’s in Rochester, WA and she graduated from Centralia High School. She graduated in May from WSU with a BA in Spanish and a minor in Human Development and joined WCHS as a staff member this fall. Ashley has a passion for rescue, but one person can only rescue so many animals so she is excited that this position allows her the opportunity to work with an amazing group of lifesavers in a professional setting. A fun fact is that Ashley and her husband are the proud parents of TEN critters! Seven guinea pigs, two cats (Felix and Zuko), and a puppy named Pippin! Her friends often call her the “Guinea Pig Guru”. Stop in and say hello!
