Reuben
I wanted to adopt a pet from a shelter because a lot of great animals in shelters need homes. When I saw Reuben for the first time, it was love at first sight. He was underweight, missing almost all of his hair due to mites and the effects of malnutrition and was recovering from hip surgery.

He was quite a sight. This was of no concern to me, however, and I fell in love with that little energetic puppy and ended up adopting him that very day.

In June it will have been a year since I met the "man of my dreams." I can't imagine life without him.
