Within the Humane Society, there are two distinct areas of helping -- a single act of kindness such as a donation or volunteering to help and the other is to become a member.

Membership is defined as someone who chooses to become a member of our Society and pays the yearly membership dues. For doing so, they receive special privileges not available to those who are not members.

To be a member in good standing, you just need to pay the revised annual membership fee of $29 for a basic membership or $79 for a business membership.

In exchange, members are eligible to receive the following benefits:

• Only up to date members may vote on Board member positions.
• Our quarterly newsletter
• A Whitman County Humane Society ribbon magnet
• Special discounts on goods from the Store and Services at the Shelter
• A special sub-website where you can look up back issues of the newsletter, get information on committee activities, access to Board meeting minutes, and more!! (coming soon)
