  • February
    • February is National Pet Dental Month
    • February 22, 2007 - WSU Wellness Fair : at the WSU Recreation Center. Come see how animals can relieve stress in your life, provide companionship, and help you live years longer.
    • February 27th, National Spay Day
  • March 16 and 17, 2007 - Home and Garden Expo : at the Kibbey Dome in Moscow. Join us at the Expo where we will be talking to folks about providing a safe home and garden for your pet, keeping animals from bothering your plants, and putting your pet to work for you! We will also be selling plants, WCHS materials, and having raffles for animal baskets.
  • April
    • April 7th, National Tag Day - get your pet tagged.
    • April 14th, the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine is hosting an Open House during Mom's Weekend. The Shelter Medicine Club will be holding a Dog Wash with proceeds going to the WCHS
    • April 21st is SpringFest at WSU. Be looking for our shelter animals to be walked about the festival by CVM (College of Veterinary Medicine) members.
    • April 22nd is Earth Day! Please join us in celebrating all of nature's wonders - including our animals and pets.
    • April 22nd, The Spokesman-Review in Spokane is again offering their Sponsor-A-Pet Ads in the Sunday paper. See what $20 can do! For more details: contact the Spokesman-Review here.
  • May
    • May 4 from noon to 3pm - We are going to be at Dissmore's IGA Grocery store in Pullman with Campus Commons North (CCN) selling hotdogs while talking about hot dogs (and cats) out in the sun. Come on down and get a hotdog. Proceeds go to feed and shelter the pets.
    • May 6th - 12 - National 'Be Kind to Animals Week'
    • May 19th - Near Seattle, the Homeward Pet Adoption Center is hosting their annual Spring for Pets Dinner and Auction. Click here for more details.
    • TBD - Be watching for our WCHS Dog Wash. More details ahead.
  • June
    • National Adopt-A-Cat month
    • June 1 to July 31 - Pets & Pals Photo Contest - see this site for more details.
  • July - National Dog House Repair Month.
  • August 17-18- Lentil Festival Beer Garden : For more info go to http://www.lentilfest.com/. We will be needing volunteers to help us with the Beer Garden so please, start signing up now by calling our Admin office if you can help!!!
  • September
    • See us support the WSU Panhellenic council's big Plasma Drive! Note: Postponed by the Panhellenic Council until Jan-Feb of next year.
    • Sept. 22 - Come join us at the Shelter for Palouse Pawfest! Come join our Open House and all the festivities that surround it.
  • October
    • Oct. 7 - Trinity Lutheran Church in Pullman is having their annual Blessing of the Animals (co-sponsored by WCHS). Please bring your pets to be blessed.
    • National Adopt-A-Dog Month
    • Our membership Annual meeting will be on October 22nd! This will be at the Neill Public Library in Pullman. Come meet the new Officers and Board and hear the State of the Society presentation - including an update on the Animal Haven project.
  • November - AppleBowl - Huskies T-Shirts (not run by WCHS) :
  • November 4 - Feral Cat Clinic at Latah County Fair Ground
  • December - Bowling Tournament at Zeppos (not run by WCHS) : Postponed until Spring
